In addition to the characters, Downpour features a variety of modes and options for players to experience. The five characters available to choose from are The Rivulet, an aquatic slugcat, The Gourmand, a culinary expert, The Artificer, a master of pyrotechnics and explosives, The Spearmaster, a needle-weilding creature, and The Saint, able to use its long tongue to grip far away objects. Slugcats have evolved alongside predators, and now it's up to the player to use their skills to survive and explore.
